Coming January 2015...

In previous years, I've done a countdown through all the new films I've seen over the year - any film watched in the year counted as long as it was a first viewing. But this time, things will be a little different, thanks to a larger viewing of films released in the current year than previously.

As of the time of writing, I've seen 46 films released in the UK in 2014, with the target of 50 hopefully hit by the time the month ends - more than any year prior. So, rather than a simple list of films in order of worst to best, the 'Best of 2014' will instead follow the rules of other awards like the Oscars, with a majority of the same award choices alongside some other additions. For the films not nominated but seen during the year, a Honourable/Dishonourable mentions section will also be added, and will be open to be discussed further if requested.

• Best Hair-styling and Makeup
• Best Trailer (2014 Release)
• Best Trailer (2015 Release)
• Best First Viewing in 2014 (Any film released before 2014 is eligible here, as long as it was a first viewing during 2014)
• Best Revisitation (Again, eligible for films released before 2014. Can't have appeared in the 2012/2013 lists)
• Best Film Moment of 2014
• Funniest Moment of 2014
• Most Emotional Moment of 2014
• Most Disappointing Film of 2014
• Most Anticipated Film of 2015
• Most Underrated Film of 2014
• Most Overrated Film of 2014
